About me

Storyteller & artist

I’m a storyteller at heart and have been my whole life. While losing myself in other’s incredible worlds is certainly fun, there’s a whole extra dimension to being the one creating those worlds and telling the stories. When I write or imagine a story, I try to keep in mind that each story is best suited for a type of media, and throughout my life I’ve been able to explore many of those, from tabletop RPGs and comic books to animation and video games.

My personal preference lies in visual medias, and thus I’ve become an artist out of need to share my stories with the world. I’ve been drawing my whole life and I’ve certainly had the opportunity to venture into a variety of genres and styles with my projects.

Animator & Project Manager

I’ve got a Bachelor’s Degree in Animation at UFSC (Santa Catarina’s Federal University) in Brazil. There’s a whole new set of skills at my disposal and nothing quite matches the feeling of breathing life into a creation. Animation makes me a more versatile artist, and the degree has given me a good foundation for the professional expectations of the industry.

While I don’t occupy a permanent position as an artist, I currently work as a Product Manager for a SaaS product at a technology Startup. Analyzing opportunities, validating decisions, communicating with stakeholders and managing the team’s development activities comes easy to me, and through my Degree’s final research papers, I’ve ventured into applying that knowledge towards project management.

I’ve been playing and DMing TTRPGs often for years.

RPGs have a special place in my heart because of the way they allow players to explore a world without any boundaries, and experience a story that is custom made for them like no other media can. I love to let my players wreak some havoc to see how my world reacts to it.

I also have a soft spot for game mechanics, and RPGs allow me to exercise that with adventures, custom mechanics and even entire homebrew systems.

I grew up reading comic books. Spider-Man was my favorite hero for the longest time, but eventually the X-Men would take the podium (someone please give Cyclops a decent movie incarnation!). I first started drawing because of these books and they still influence me to this day.

I eventually broadened my horizons beyond super-hero comics, in fact, I’m very intrigued by comic books as a medium and have dedicated myself to study and understand comics on a technical level, since I believe there’s much there that can influence other media, like “Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse” has proven to the world.

As an only child, video games were my best friends, and I even got started learning English on my own out of necessity to figure out what to do next.

Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot and Dark Souls are among my favorite franchises for a variety of reasons, but ultimately games are such an amazing medium because of their unique trait: interactivity.

Witnessing a story unfold or being a part of it are very different things, and while there’s room in my heart for both, I love spending hundreds of hours exploring these worlds.
